Valley City R/C Field Rules
- Anyone flying at the Valley City R/C Club's field must be a current member
of the AMA.
- All aircraft must pass the current Valley City R/C Club Sound Level Requirements
before flying.
- All transmitters will display appropriate frequency flags.
- Frequency control will be accomplished by the flier removing the appropriate
frequency pin from the Frequency Control Board and placing his/her current
AMA Membership Card in the provided space for that frequency pin. The frequency
pin is to be placed on the transmitter, and remain there at all times, while
transmitter is in use. When the person is done using his/her transmitter,
the frequency pin is to be returned to the Frequency Control Board and his/her
AMA Membership card removed.
- New fliers will be responsible for obtaining and replacing correct frequency
pins for the instructor.
- Anyone causing interference to another flier's frequency WILL BE LIABLE
for damages incurred. If the persons involved cannot resolve the problem,
then the club officers will determine the amount to be paid after the damage
has been assessed, and/or replacement price has been set. Failure to comply
with the decision will revoke all of the individual's club rights and privileges.
- (A) Only three (3) fliers are permitted in the air at the same time. (B)
All fliers will fly from designated circles thirty (30) feet apart. (C) No
one will stand at the downwind end of the runway to launch their airplane
when other pilots are flying from the circles.
- Each and every member will be responsible for enforcing safety rules.
- Spectators (Non-club members) will remain in designated areas (Behind the
chain link fence).
- Fliers will check the runways for clearance before take-off and landings.
Fliers should audibly announce intentions to land aircraft.
- While a flier is in the air, anyone nearby will notify him of approaching
full-scale aircraft.
- Power planes will not endanger dwellings or spectators by flying over or
near them. (No flying southeast of the field near the houses or over the pit
area).
- Sailplanes will establish a safe altitude before flying over dwellings
or spectators.
- Inexperienced fliers will not fly unassisted until they have successfully
completed the "Solo Flight Program".
- Mufflers will be mandatory on all size engines on power planes. Flow through
or venturi type mufflers are not permitted. (Special consideration will be
given to certain types of aircraft).
- No flying before ten o'clock A.M. (10:00 A.M.).
- No airplane will be taxied into or out of the pit area.
- No flight will be started after official sundown.
